La democracia hoy en día es una palabra muy en boga entre la mayoría de activistas del Movimiento Ocupar. Debido al aumento de la popularidad de esta palabra y la incomprensión de la mayoría sobre la misma (incluso en los círculos del PV y simpatizantes del MZ), escribo este artículo para abordar cómo se consideraría la democracia en un modelo económico basado en los recursos del mundo.
La democracia se define generalmente como una forma de gobierno en el que todos los ciudadanos adultos tienen el mismo peso en las decisiones que afectan sus vidas. Idealmente, esto incluye la igualdad (más o menos directa) en la participación sobre las propuestas, el desarrollo y aprobación de las legislaciones en ley. También puede abarcar condiciones sociales, económicas y culturales que permitan el ejercicio libre e igualitario de la autodeterminación política.
Pero, ¿qué pasaría en un sistema donde no hubieran límites sobre cómo conducir tu vida, sin leyes o legislaciones, sin polítiquería o gobierno, y sin límites o imposiciones en las condiciones de tu vida? ¿Dónde quedaría entonces la democracia? Sería irrelevante y carente de significado.
En nuestra sociedad actual tenemos muchos límites a nuestras libertades. Estamos limitados a los recursos disponibles en función de la cantidad de dinero que tenemos; estamos limitados a donde se puede viajar por todo el mundo, en base a restricciones y políticas sobre los pasaportes. Estamos limitados en la educación en base a la cantidad de préstamos que podemos obtener para la universidad. Estamos limitados en cuanto al tipo de vivienda que podemos acceder, al cuidado de nuestra salud, al tiempo que disponemos y a un sin fin de aspectos acorde a nuestro poder adquisitivo. No vivimos en una sociedad libre, pues estamos en todo momento limitados sobre la base de nuestros ingresos monetarios y/o la política.
Sólo en una sociedad basada en tantas restricciones es donde la gente siente la necesidad de eso que se conoce como "democracia". En una economía basada en recursos, no es que no hay democracia sino que es algo irrelevante, ya que no estás limitado. Conduces tu propia vida en función de cómo mejor te parezca, sin ningún tipo de limitaciones. No necesitas luchar para ser escuchado, porque no hay autoridad ni restricciones para expresarte. Realmente no han habido sociedades o movimientos en la historia humana (hasta el Movimiento Ocupar y el MZ) que no hayan tenido líderes o controladores, por lo que la gente no tiene ejemplos para entender cómo funciona un sistema de esta naturaleza. La mayoría asume que todo sería un caos sin un comandante de organización sobre el escenario.

En el Movimiento Ocupar la razón por la que esto si funciona es porque las personas involucradas saben sobre lo que quieren ofrecer y conocen la información necesaria para poder ayudar a quienes lo requieran. A diferencia de una organización controlada donde todo se filtra y se mantienen a raya a las personas que quieren contribuir, en un sistema libre de control le corresponde a cada individuo tomar la iniciativa de simplemente dar. Apoyan la causa ya que ven el beneficio en la misma. Si quieres ayudar, solo haces tu parte sobre la base de tus habilidades y lo que quieres ofrecer. Es tan simple como eso.
En la construcción de un puente, el diseño de un reactor de avión, la instalación de un sistema de alcantarillado, la construcción de un laboratorio médico, sólo las personas que han sido entrenadas y educadas en estas áreas pueden participar. En otras palabras, la participación se basa en lo que son capaces de hacer. Cuando los ingenieros se ocupan en la construcción de un puente no hay ningún problema en la comunicación cuando se trata de la estructura y el proceso para llevar a cabo la obra. El motivo es que todos disponen de la misma información actualizada y se comunican en base a mediciones y cálculos matemáticos. Por lo tanto no hay ningún vacío en la comunicación ya que no se basa en la interpretación, punto de vista, opinión subjetiva o cualquier información errónea.
En otras palabras, no hay una manera democrática o una forma comunista de diseñar un reactor de avión, un sistema de alcantarillado, un laboratorio médico, o un puente, ya que ello no se basa en opiniones, sino en conocimientos al día e información pertinente sobre el área en cuestión. Sólo hay maneras eficientes y maneras menos eficientes, que funcionan bien o que no funcionan tan bien, de ejecuciones confiables o que dan constantes problemas. Siempre y cuando se descubran mejores formas de cómo construir o de diseñar estos sistemas, es que el conocimiento se actualiza de acuerdo a la nueva información basada en el método científico de experimentación.
El sistema global de economía basada en recursos no está compuesto de opiniones, creencias, o grupos de personas sobre la base de ideologías, sino que todo es abordado a través del método científico. Es el mismo método que se enseña en la escuela para encontrar respuestas a los problemas (con este formato se eliminan todas las formas de opiniones o creencias para controlar o dirigir el sistema por un mal camino). Tu debes ser capaz de sustentar con pruebas tus creencias u opiniones. Debes tener evidencia verificable de lo que dices y no sólo una opinión o creencia válida para unos pocos del grupo.
El método científico se basa en hechos que pueden ser probados y reconstruídos. Si no lo aplicamos con rigor, el sistema caería en la misma política obstinada que tenemos hoy en día, en el que se considera la creencia de unos pocos como válida para toda la sociedad.
Cualquier otro asunto que la gente decida hacer en base a supuestos similares, opiniones e ideas, son bienvenidos. No hay control. Sólo hay un acuerdo de que participan quienes tienen las habilidades o entrenamiento requeridos para el trabajo.
Utilizando este formato para llegar a las decisiones, cada individuo tendría un mayor control de su vida y de lo que pueda imaginar posible. No hay limitaciones que te frenen a ser tú mismo. No hay límites de dinero, fronteras, o poder de compra.
