Those of you who preach endlessly about how bad things are, do so mainly to advance in your own power and influence. Instead of being frightened into submission by the negative scenarios, choose to follow the positive possibilities. Life has always been challenging, and it will continue to be. Yet that is no reason to be gloomy or fearful, for in every challenge there is great opportunity. Therefore what ever you focus on will grow stronger and more influential in your world. My prayer today is that you will choose to focus on creative, innovative, loving, and respectful and beautiful ways to move forward. Those who obsess over assigning blame only end up making the problems worse. What you can do now is far more important than who is at fault. If you give you energy to fear and hatred, whatever you fear and whatever you despise will grow bigger and more imposing. Is that really what you want? The future is as bright and beautiful as you decide to see it. See it, live it, and make it so.

Cindy Fickess I kinda fell off the 'what I'm thankful for' bandwagon this month, but being the last day of November, and also due to the fact that I had my annual San Francisco Transplant follow-up, I would like to say that I am most thankful (this month and every month) that 24 1/2 years ago my brother Steve Fickess was kind enough to donate what has turned out to be the bestest kidney ever!!! Next May is our 25th anniversary, and they said it would only last about 20 years? Everything is looking great!! Oh, and I'm also very thankful that my husband bought me a Kindle Fire yesterday :)
